The short answer: AT&T Internet Air costs $55 a month with AutoPay, or $35 with an eligible AT&T phone plan, and you plug it in yourself. It runs on AT&T’s cell network, AT&T applies congestion management to it all the time, and the price is not locked. In Hendry County, Streamline Essential costs $65, the same as Internet Air without AutoPay, with stronger uploads, lower latency and a price that never goes up.

AT&T Internet Air is AT&T’s 5G home internet. A hub in your home connects to the nearest AT&T cell site and turns that signal into Wi-Fi. It’s sold in parts of Hendry County and Golden Gate Estates, and like every cell-based service, how well it works depends on your exact address.

Every AT&T figure on this page comes from AT&T’s own offer, performance and network management pages, checked in October 2026, or from Ookla’s speed test data. Sources are listed at the bottom.

What AT&T Internet Air costs

AT&T sells one Internet Air plan [1]:

  • $55 a month plus taxes, after a $10 AutoPay discount. The full $10 needs AutoPay from a bank account plus paperless billing.
  • $60 a month with AutoPay from a debit card, which only earns a $5 discount.
  • $65 a month without AutoPay.
  • $35 a month with an eligible AT&T unlimited phone plan.

AT&T’s offer page says plainly that pricing is subject to change [1]. There is no multi-year price guarantee on Internet Air. The AT&T Guarantee gives bill credits for outages of 20 minutes or more [1], which is worth having, but it does not hold the price.

Streamline works the other way around. The monthly price you sign up at is the price you pay for as long as you are a customer.

How AT&T manages Internet Air traffic

AT&T’s network management page names Internet Air as “subject to Congestion-based Network Management all the time,” and says that “during periods of congestion, these customers may experience reduced data speeds and increased latency as compared to other customers using the same cell site” [3].

In plain terms, your home internet shares the cell site with every AT&T phone in range, and when the site is busy, other traffic can go first. Busy usually means evenings, when everyone is home and streaming.

Streamline’s network carries home and business internet and nothing else. There are no phones on it to put you behind, and no usage line that slows you down.

Where Streamline wins

Uploads

AT&T lists typical Internet Air uploads of 8 to 30 Mbps [1], and Ookla’s median was about 10 Mbps in mid-2026 [4]. Streamline plans start at 20 Mbps up and reach 60 Mbps, with bursts up to 120 Mbps. That is the difference between a video call that freezes and one that doesn’t, and it matters for working from home, cloud backups and security cameras.

Latency

AT&T lists 45 to 78 ms on 5G and 53 to 82 ms on LTE [2]. Ookla measured a 69 ms median [4]. Streamline runs 15 to 30 ms. You feel that gap in online games and on calls.

A price that holds

Internet Air’s price can change. Streamline’s can’t. Over five or ten years, that matters more than the first month’s price.

Local people

Streamline is based in LaBelle. A local tech installs your service, and when you call, a person who knows the area picks up, 24/7, in English or Spanish.

Built for hurricane season

Every Streamline site is built with three independent upstream connections, battery backup, and generator support at select sites. Read more about why the network stays up.

Where AT&T Internet Air wins

Price. Internet Air is cheaper in Golden Gate Estates, and with an AT&T phone plan it is cheaper anywhere.

Setup. You plug the hub in yourself, with no appointment and no setup charge [1].

Outage credits. The AT&T Guarantee pays bill credits for outages of 20 minutes or more [1].

Reach. Internet Air works wherever AT&T sells it and the signal is strong enough, including addresses Streamline does not cover yet.

In Hendry County, Streamline Essential costs exactly what Internet Air costs without AutoPay. In Golden Gate Estates, Streamline costs more, and what you pay for is a network that isn’t shared with phones, steadier evening speeds, and a price that never moves.

Which one fits your home

AT&T Internet Air makes sense if:

  • You have an AT&T unlimited phone plan and get the $35 price
  • AT&T shows a strong 5G signal at your address and it holds up in the evening
  • You want to set it up yourself today
  • Streamline does not reach your address yet

Streamline makes sense if:

  • Internet Air slows down at your house when the neighborhood gets busy
  • You need uploads for video calls, cameras or cloud backups
  • Latency matters for gaming or calls
  • You want a price that is locked for life and a local team to call
