If you’re moving to Hendry County or Golden Gate Estates, you’re probably already thinking about utilities. Power, water, septic. Internet is the one that trips people up.
Here’s the reality: traditional internet options in this part of Florida are limited. But that doesn’t mean you’re stuck with bad internet. You just need to know where to look.
What internet is available in Hendry County
Streamline Internet (fixed wireless). The fastest option in the county. Up to 600 Mbps, unlimited data, local support. Available in LaBelle, Port LaBelle, Felda, Pioneer Plantation, Montura Ranch Estates, and Golden Gate Estates. Plans start at $55/mo.
CenturyLink DSL. Available in parts of LaBelle and along some main roads. Speeds are typically 10-25 Mbps and degrade with distance from the exchange. If you’re more than a few miles from downtown, you’ll likely get single-digit speeds.
Satellite (HughesNet, Viasat, Starlink). Available everywhere but comes with trade-offs. Traditional satellite has high latency (500+ ms) and data caps (40-200 GB/mo). Starlink is better on latency but costs significantly more and has variable availability.
Cable/Fiber. Not available in Hendry County or Golden Gate Estates. If someone told you it was, they were mistaken.
Getting set up with Streamline

Pick a plan. Residential plans start at $55/mo. No contract, unlimited data, lifetime price lock. Most households pick Plus ($75/mo) for the extra speed and whole-home Wi-Fi.
Schedule installation. A local technician comes out, installs a small antenna on your roof or exterior wall, sets up your Wi-Fi router, and gets you connected. Takes about an hour.
Timeline. Most new customers are online within a week. If you’re moving in on a specific date, let us know and we’ll try to schedule around your move.
Tips for new residents
Check internet before you close. If internet access matters to you (and it should), check your address before finalizing a home purchase. Most addresses in our coverage areas can get service, and checking takes 30 seconds.
Don’t assume satellite is your only option. Plenty of new residents arrive expecting to settle for satellite. Check Streamline first. The speeds and pricing are dramatically better.
Your speed doesn’t depend on distance from town. Unlike DSL, fixed wireless delivers the same speed whether you’re on Main Street in LaBelle or on a 5-acre lot in Montura. If you can connect, you get the full plan speed.
Set up internet early. If you work remotely, don’t wait until moving day to figure out internet. Contact us ahead of time so installation is ready when you need it.
